Onward to the children's ward!
It's been a rather tough week, what with trying to tie things down with sponsors, the school and the hospitals.
We had our awareness run yesterday at Singapore Management University, where we gathered well-wishes from the public and school community for children with cancer.
Of some of the more memorable ones...
"Hello Child! I had cancer and I'm still alive (66 years old!) Be strong, have a lot of courage and your life is in your hands..."
"Be strong! You're loved..."
"You are a brave person. Hang in there, we're praying for you..."
We had a little of a hiccup in the morning because the concourse was filled with booths and we were trying to find a space for ours.
But when we did, there was no stopping us. =)
The team held it together with music, a great attitude and helped each other through the day.
We will trudge on with the same attitude and teamwork come next week, when we head down to the hospital.
Peace,
Serene
